2. Description of Service

Kompyl provides AI-powered tools for converting, generating, and compiling documents and presentations. Free tools are available without an account, subject to daily usage limits. The API is available under paid plans with separate pricing terms.

3. Free Tool Usage

  • Free tools are limited to 3 conversions per day per user
  • No account or signup is required for free tools
  • Outputs are provided as-is without warranty
  • We reserve the right to modify free tier limits at any time

4. API Usage

API access requires an API key obtained through a paid plan. API customers agree to:

  • Use API keys securely and not share them publicly
  • Comply with rate limits specified in the API documentation
  • Not use the API for illegal, abusive, or harmful purposes

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload malicious files, malware, or content designed to exploit the system
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls
  • Use the Service to generate spam, phishing content, or misleading materials
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or replicate the Service
  • Upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights

6. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain all rights to content you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process your content solely to provide the requested output.

Our content: The Kompyl website, branding, documentation, and software are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without permission.

7. Output Ownership

Outputs generated by the Service (PPTX, PDF, quiz banks, etc.) belong to you. We do not claim any ownership or rights over your generated outputs.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that outputs will be error-free, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose.

AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all outputs before use.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kompyl shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. API customers will receive reasonable notice before account termination.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
